Distribution of Laptops Among 80 Women Trainees of HER Power Project, DoICT

Under the project HER Power: Empowerment of Women Through Frontier Technology of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DoICT) : Laptops have been distributed among 80 women trainees on the ongoing training in the 2nd phase of the Sadar Upazila of Chapainawabganj. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mst. Tasmina Khatun distributed the laptops as the chief guest on Thursday, 29th August 2024 at Fulkuri Islamic Academy training room. 

Md. Nazmul Haque, Sadar Upazila ICT Officer and Atia Habiba, Assistant Network Engineer, District ICT Office, DoICT gave their opening speech. Fulkuri Islamic Academy Principal Md. Abdul Ahad presided over the event.

The incoming guests commented that this project will play a significant role in creating opportunities for employment of unemployed women and freelancing at home using technology.

80 women are taking training in this 6-month-long training in web development, digital marketing and graphic designing. Out of a total of 130 classes, 61 have already been completed.
